Basia Bula, August 18th @ the Paradiso
Without expectations we went to see Basia Bulat at the upstairs small room of Paradiso, a very positive surprise. It’s was great to experience the openness and energy of this young Canadian country folk singer songwriter and multi talented instrumentalist playing the piano, guitar, harp, a tiny tiny guitar and harp organ combo machine. And all on her own – no band. The prettiest instrument she was carrying along was her golden voice, strong and vulnerable with a classic country twist. The last song of her set she did unplugged and accapella. Next time she will bring her band although she doesn’t need them it will help her to give an even stronger performance.
