If you haven’t heard the news yet…August 3rd Chad is back in Amsterdam and will be playing the Paradiso!! Yes my fuzzy friends, time to run out and get your ticket!! The new album of Chad was recently released and I got my copy. Diaper Island is a quirky name for this newest masterpiece. In the words of Sub Pop records, “With Diaper Island, VanGaalen distills his approach, producing his most sonically cohesive album to date, and the closest thing he has done to a rock album.” Uuummmm, right. Being a bit of a rock fan I wouldn’t go so far as that but it does have more elements of ‘rock’ than previous albums. Diaper Island is full of witty and sometimes silly songs (ie: Shave My Pussy). Early fuzzbabe likes are No Panic/No Heat and Replace Me.
For those of you not ‘in the know’ of this Canadian treasure let me give you a brief introduction. Chad was born and lives in Canada, Calgary to be specific. He is an artistic genuis given his abstract artwork and emotionally quirky lyrics.
