Our Latest Record / Concert Reviews:

Teen Daze – All Of Us Together

Welcome to the tenth post in a weekly series on new Canadian music! This week it is dreamy electronic synth dance with a review of Teen Daze’s first full length album ‘All Of Us Together’.

Teen Daze is Jamison (first and last name, another moniker) from the Fraser Valley. In the past couple of years Jamison created numerous remixes, EP’s, and singles all with a super relaxed dancy synth electro vibe to them. Clear drum beats, looping the loop, keyboard and dreamy back ground swaying vocals. Didn’t we call it chillwave a year or two ago..? It doesn’t matter what you call it, if you like it, you like it and if not, not. Teen Daze’s dreamy sounds will make people dance or club cocktail chill for sure. Happy and relaxing, together. If you are more of a dancer then Erbstuck and Brooklyn Sunburn are the two most danceable tracks on ‘All Of Us together’.

This how Jamison describes his mystical and celestial brainwave ‘All Of Us Together’, “I came upon an old book at a thrift store called Utopian Visions, an encyclopaedic volume of different views on what utopia might look like, which became a huge inspiration. Especially when considering the future of our world as it actually unfolds. We’re becoming more and more self-reliant, more and more separated from our communities. I wanted to make a record that sounded more synthetic but also inviting-this is futuristic music with a heart.” Right, moving right along…Listen to the full album stream of ‘All Of Us Together’ on Teen Daze’s Bandcamp site.
